55CrSiA spring steel is specifically used for manufacturing springs and elastic components due to its elasticity in quenching and tempering states. The steel's elasticity depends on its ability to undergo elastic deformation within a specified range, enabling it to bear a certain load without permanent deformation after the load is removed. 55CrSiA replaces Mn with Cr, ensuring hardenability while reducing temper brittleness, overheating sensitivity, notch sensitivity, making it suitable for springs in high-temperature environments (below 300 degrees Celsius). 55CrSiA spring steel exhibits excellent comprehensive properties, including mechanical properties (especially elastic limit, ultimate strength, yield strength ratio), anti-relaxation properties, fatigue performance, hardenability, and physical and chemical properties (heat resistance, low-temperature resistance, oxidation resistance, corrosion resistance, etc.).
